Another catch-up == 1st day of school pics

I found this picture of me and Blair. Sadness overcame me....

Ashleigh and Sluggerrrr

Tammy met us at McDonald's so she and Mommy could chat and the kids could play. Ashleigh is enamoured with Tammy!

After a well fought balloon fight at a picnic at MeMe's church. They were SOAKED!

Thanks to Kids Free Bowling Summer coupons - we've been going bowling on Sunday mornings - the kids love it.

Celebrating a good roll

Cheeseball!

Trying their luck on a big kid video game - it was hilarious!

First Day of School!!! We have been waiting for this day for so long. Alexander is in Kindergarten and Ashleigh is in Pre-K

Holding hands - too cute

Doesn't she look cute in her uniform and her mary janes? I want to squeeze her!

My big kid!

After school - still smiling - a good sign.

This picture was taken on the request of Alex so that MeMaw will know what he wants for his birthday! This kid - works all angles!

After getting way too big for toddler beds - the kids got bunk beds!

Thumbs up for the bunk beds!

I never know what I am going to find on my camera. Photography by A&A

Chuck E. Cheese! The kids have been talking about going there for so long. So we met Tammy, Tom and Tom's grandson Preston there. The kids had a blast.

Ashleigh riding the clock swing

Alex and Preston on the Jet Pack video game - they did this probably 10 times.

The kids dancing around crazy!

Both of them wanted their picture taken in this giant monster truck ride. A good time was had by all!

Monumental Catch-Up!

Over Memorial Day we went to Uncle Jay and Aunt Nicki's house for the weekend. Makes me so sad to post these pictures since that was one of the last times we saw our Blair....

Always the mother hen.

Her way of making him not cry anymore.

The Fab Five

Checking out the scenery

Yet another attempt at a good shot of my two together!

...and another. I give up!

While at Uncle Jay and Aunt Nicki's - we celebrated Ashleigh's birthday with a little party.

Alright with the girls stuff already! We're bored!

Ashleigh - surrounded by family and all that birthday loot!

Just the first of many times Barbies will be played between these two!

CAKE!

Post-Sugar FRENZY!!

Aunt Nicki took Ashleigh and Jalynn for a ride in the bike carrier - they loved it!

Cowboy Alex

Jalynn and Milo - just relaxing. Unfortunately we had to say our goodbyes and head back home....We'll be back again - we had a blast!

School ran so late this year due to snow days - Vacation Bible School started before school was even over for the year.

All ready to go in.

Alex and Ashleigh with Alex's pre-k teachers Ms. Iverson and Ms. Merrick

He is going to get me for this one some day!

Trying to get a good shot of the two of them for a Father's Day gift for Mark - a pic for his desk. Ain't easy!!

My silly Boy!!

My angels - right before a wrestling match ensued!

The car masterpiece. My boy sure does love to line up cars!

On July 4th we decided to rent a boat and go out on the lake.

My girl sure loves her daddy.

Mama's boy!

One of our favorite spots to play when it's 100 degrees outside!

Tuckered kids -- time to go!

You never know what Daddy is going to do. He keeps us laughing!!

Rest in Peace, Bugs

On July 4th, our 11 year old niece Blair (far right in the picture) was shot by a stray bullet and unfortunately it did so much damage, she is no longer with us. It was a senseless random act and I hope that the KCPD catch up with the person responsible before my brother gets ahold of them.

We love you Bugs. Look down upon us from time to time little Angel.

Seriously playing catch up!

Mommy got a new job, so it's taking awhile to get back on track with the blog....here's a replay of the last month or so.

On the day of the Royal Wedding, Meme and I took Ashleigh to the Princess Diana exhibit at Union Station.

She doesn't look too thrilled here, but she really was.

She's so cheesy sometimes!

With her tiara and wand...a true princess....at least to us!

Ashleigh in her apron, all ready to help Mommy make cookies for Mother's Day.

Alex got in on the action too. Surprising how focused they were on this task.

The end result - a little messy, but delicious!

This girl is RARELY serious!

Ashleigh showed up in the kitchen one day with Meme's orange high heels on.

She did a little posing....

Then Alex had to take a turn. We'll torture him with this picture in about 11 years!

She was literally trying to pull the shoes off of him yelling "these shoes are for GIRLS!!!" at the top of her lungs.

A cool treat on a hot day.

Smile for Mommy!
