The many faces of Alexander and Ashleigh

THIS is what happens most of the time when Mommy gets out her camera.... some good, some bad - but none ugly! ha ha

this and that

Here's Curly Sue snuggling up with Daddy after a bath.

The kids lounged out on the living room floor watching "Cars" for the 20th time!

Alexander pretending to be a lion. I would have to catch him with his eyes closed!

Alexander's new thing - running around shirtless.

Ashleigh's favorite place to be - on her brother's bed!

Alexander wrapped up in Daddy's coat - pretending to be big.

Ashleigh playing in the clothes basket with her dolls.

Took the kids to A Journey to Bethlehem at MeMaw's church. Here's Alexander making a necklace with the help of Blair.

Then being comforted by Aunt Chel because he was scared of the wise men!

Playing around with Daddy.

Christmas cookies with MeMaw

We got up early on a Saturday and headed to MeMaws - the kids were still in their jammies!

Eating oatmeal for breakfast - crazy faces

Don't know what happened to Alexander - it looks like he had a black eye!

After the kids got dressed - it was stomp dancing with MeMaw for a few minutes before we got serious about cookies.

I chose to make pretty simple cookies....

...but not MeMaw - here she is cutting out centers for her poinsettia cookies with sugar cookie dough and a straw. Check out her pretty nails though!

The cookies turned out pretty neat, but were a lot of work!

Alexander thought he was too big for a nap, so we made him rest on the couch while Ashleigh napped. It was so hard keeping him there!

Official taste tester - after his rest.

Up from her nap cheesing with MeMaw

MeMaw's Birthday

A little lower key than last year's surprise party - we went to MeMaws and had take out bbq and cake.

Ashleigh cuddling up with MeMaw

Smiley girl

Alexander being cheesy!

Helping MeMaw blow out the candle

Ashleigh's new favorite spot to sit - a footstool!

Thanksgiving Eve/Thanksgiving/Black Friday

Not at ALL the best picture, but Mark and I have a family tradition of taking the kids to KUDL's Christmas in the Sky at Longview Lake the night before Thanksgiving. The kids love to see the fireworks and get all crowded up on our laps to watch them.

MeMaw and Ashleigh read books while Alexander was still napping on Thanksgiving. I don't have many pictures - too busy to take them!

Ashleigh has moved from the high chair to a booster seat at the table. She's such a big girl now. Here's pics of her and Alexander on the morning after Thanksgiving before we left for MeMaw's.

We went to MeMaws on Black Friday and took our old clothes to a thrift store that sells them and gives the proceeds to Hope House. We had to make two trips, we had so much stuff! It's always great to give to someone less fortunate and I think it's a good thing to teach the kids. We may not be the richest of families - but we have so much! I hope the kids will grow up knowing that.

We then had some lunch and ended up at Wal-Mart even though we said we wouldn't! On the way home the kids were, as my Grandma Lee used to say, "plum tuckered"!

Random Stuff

The weather is turning colder - so expect to see a lot more pictures of the kids in hats and/or hoods.

Doesn't Ashleigh look adorable in her coat and hat??!

MeMaw had to go out of town so I went to Blair's Grandparents and Special Friends thing at her school.

Here's Blair with some of her cousins and friends

and here's Blair's self-portrait of us

Both of my children think the strainer is a hat!

Don't you just want to squeeze her face? She's always trying to get me when I'm taking her picture!

FOR MEMAW!!

It's a little dark and he wouldn't stand still - but here's your musical tribute!

Just for fun.....

Alexander doesn't even look my way when I get the camera out anymore.

He tells me this is his mean face when he doesn't want his picture taken.

Ashleigh always wants to get the camera.

This is what I get when I try to get them to blow kisses....

Ashleigh has a good chance of having curly hair like her Mommy!

Look at all of those curls!
