Mom's Second Journey

As most of you know, my Mom has just gone through her second round of non-hodgkins lymphoma. My Mom is the toughest sweetest gal I know - I love her endlessly!

I've taken a few pictures along the Journey...

First telling her friends about the lump found underneath her arm.

First surgeon's appointment to discuss diagnosis.

Ready for her biopsy...we can have fun in any situation!

First appointment with the doctor at the Cancer Center to discuss final diagnosis and treatment plan.

Small surgery to insert her port-o-cath for chemo treatments.

Cutting her hair short in anticipation of losing it.

Bone Marrow testing.

First Chemo Treatment

Last scheduled Chemo Treatment. Her hair is growing back and is so cute!

The Miracle Bell - you are supposed to ring it following your treatments.

Ringing the bell with all but one grandchild.

A thousand heart attacks per minute - my baby up on top of the hay maze.

Catching up - TONS of pics

Mark straightened Ashleigh's hair. She looks like a different child!

The kids playing on an old caboose out in front of the Independence train station. We didn't stick around outside too long - it was too cold!

Part of Alexander's birthday celebration was a train ride. Alexander LOVES trains. We just rode the train from Independence to Union Station, but he had a great time.

A very nice woman from the train offered to take our picture. It didn't turn out all that great but it was so cold we just wanted to get inside!!

Longing to ride those rails!

We had a brunch at MeMaw's to celebrate Alexander's birthday. Alexander loves pancakes and bacon so this was his choice!

Opening presents....

MeMaw's hair is growing back - isn't it cute???

My birthday boy - looking oh so cute.

We headed out to Wonderscope in Shawnee for the kids to play.

Ashleigh is just a little cornball!

The water table was lots of fun until Alexander got himself soaked and in trouble!

Grocery Shopping

Alexander could have played at this train table all day and been perfectly happy!

Could he be a little more serious looking?

Taking a break after all of their hard work.
