Projects, Toes and Crazy Kids!

We've done a lot of projects around the house lately!

Mark painted our deck. (ok, I helped a little)

I also spray painted all of our outside furniture to make it look nice again.

We (mostly Mark) tore out our backyard in hopes of starting over with grass. Here's Mark Tilling up the soil.

This is not a very accurate representation of all the work we did, but we tilled up the soil, added several 40 lb bags of top soil and manure and raked it all together then spread 25 lbs of grass seed. We're keeping our fingers crossed that this works AND that last night's rain didn't just wash all the seed away!

Our little punkin'

I had TWO willing subjects!

Alexander was really digging his painted toes.

Passing time til we went to meet Daddy for dinner.

Nice face.

That's better!

Being patient while their crazy parents killed themselves on weekend projects. (also under the watchful eye of MiMi!)

We spent a little time over at MeMaw's just playing on the swing.

MeMaw cut her hair real short - it's so cute!

Still fascinated with the pinwheels and the fan!

Daddy taking a well deserved break after painting the deck.

We took the kids to Longview Lake and rented a small boat - it was so much fun!

Ashleigh wasn't too sure about it.......

...until Daddy let her drive the boat!

I should really wait until he's done saying "cheese!" before I snap pictures!

Ashleigh didn't want to stop driving the boat with her Daddy.

Air Show, etc.

We took the kids to an airshow in Gardner, Kansas. Took us awhile to find it but we caught the tail end of the show.

Alexander loved trying on all the hats in the kids hangar.

He also loved playing with his new toy airplane which he quickly informed me was a JET not a plane!

One of many airplanes taking off. Alexander loved it!

This is the face you get when it's a little too sunny for Ashleigh!

Ketchup Faces

Look how curly Ashleigh's hair is! I love it!

We went to Sean and Lacey's birthday party. There were all kinds of toys and games around.

Little Miss Innocent (yeah right!)

Taking away toys - a constant past-time with these two.

Sad News + this and that

After 13 years of being considered "cancer free" my Mom's non-hodgkins lymphoma is back. I think this time we are less shocked and more pissed! Why her? Why again? Anyhow - we are all thinking positive thoughts and planning a course to kick it's ass once again. My Mom is the most amazing woman on the planet - and so strong, she can do this and I will be right by her side! Love you Mommy!

Posing with her gown on right before her biopsy. We can find humor in most anything!

Alexander with his new cool shades!

My baby - being oh so cute! Did I ever mention how much I love this kid???!!

Another trip to the park....

Had lunch with my friend Keesha and my godson Jalen. How cute is he?

Just acting goofy!

Alexander getting to swim while Ashleigh napped

Off to the neighborhood splash park...

Little Miss Hollywood

Anywhere there are riding lawnmowers - you'll find Alexander. The funny thing is - if one of them ever started, it would scare the pants off him!

No more paparazzi!
